When will we take Responsibility?

Very wired topic to give a gyan but here I want to connect my previous blogs: Colors of life, Excuses and client relationship management with a key point of successor.

Responsibility a common word but do we understand its grip in success of life and career?

Responsibility really is ability to respond or disability to respond to different situations in life. People who are being labelled as irresponsible are not really reckless or selfish, but rather unable to respond to a given life situation in a firm, decisive and positive way.  But what are we responsible for?

Outer circumstances can never be changed, or at least not rapidly. We can however influence our own life experience, but it is hard to make it stop raining one afternoon just because you would prefer sunshine. All we can do is respond to the rain and hence take responsibility for creating a more positive attitude towards it. Instead of thinking about how wet we get, we can deliberately guide our thoughts to appreciate the flowers and forests getting the water they need, how the soil is getting more fertile, because whether you like it or not, the rain will pour down, so start liking it will make your own life experience better.

Being a single person in your team of life, you are the whole responsible to take your own responsibilities, but being a team member in the corporate business world each one has a duty to take care of. A team leader has many responsibilities of their team but at the same time it is the team who makes it easier with taking the responsibility. Most of the time we depend on others to give a finishing hand to the work done but what if we do that taking that responsibility at the first place.

In simple terms the ability to act independently and take decisions in life, leading self rather than giving excuses to escape, also a thing which one required to do as part of a job or legal obligation.
Taking new responsibilities makes us a step ahead of what we are to what we can. There may be ups and down with those responsibilities but if you want to change things better try to be responsible rather than not to be....
